The Unclog Pump Design

Gorman-Rupp realizes that when solids and/or stringy materials are present in wastewater, any pump will occasionally clog. That's why the T-Series pumps are designed to be easy to unclog and get back into service quickly. If a clog does occur, the removable coverplate provides quick and easy access to the pump interior without disconnecting piping. The clog is removed through the large coverplate opening and the pump is returned to service in minutes. And, no special tools are required.

Easy Service Design

Gorman-Rupp self-priming, centrifugal pumps are mounted high and dry above the liquid being pumped with only the suction line in the sump. There is no need to pull the pump for service or maintenance. The impeller, wearplate, seal and suction check valve can be easily accessed through the removable coverplate opening for service or maintenance without any tools.

Re-Priming is Done Automatically

After initial priming, T-Series pumps are designed to re-prime automatically in a completely open system, without need of discharge or suction check valves. And they can do it with the pump casing only partially filled with liquid and with a completely dry suction line. The ability of T-Series pumps to handle air overcomes priming and vapor handling problems common in conventional centrifugal pumps.
